The first school of Waraku in Europe has been opened in Rome in 2008. Nicola Colao is in charge of it for Europe. This young italian has followed an intensive formation in Japan with Sensei Maeda.
On this site we give as soon as possible news about future events held by Sensei Maeda or by Nicola Colao.
We also give you here information about events organized by the Dojos authorized by master Maeda, in which are held regularily courses of Waraku.

Waraku Oomoto from August 21st to September 5th 2011
trip to Japan cancelled
Thanks to all of you for the help everyone has given and continues to give to the collection of funds to be sent to Oomoto.
After the dramatic events that have hit Japan the situation is still uncertain and probably for a few months it will be difficult to know exactly how serious the situation is. In these days it was officially said that the severity of Fukushima is like that of the Chernobyl accident that struck us twenty years ago and made it necessary to take great caution in everyday life and food.
Meanwhile the date is getting closer by which it will be necessary to confirm the participation in the trip to Japan this summer 2011.
The organizers Aldo and Nicola have spoken with many members who are concerned about the situation. In this period it is very difficult for our Japanese friends to rebuild their country and to address the risks that seem to increase every day for the environment and for food. So many of our members think that it might be well to postpone the trip, so as to go to Japan after this situation of uncertainty and serious problems will be overcome.
Thus, in the Council, we thought that since the purpose of our journey is not only to learn better Waraku, but also to create more and more familiarity among the peoples of the Japanese and European Waraku, a group trip organized later on will make more sense.
So we phoned Sensei. He agrees that we postpone our trip. So the Association Waraku Europa renounces the trip to Oomoto from August 21st to September 5th 2011.
Sensei also agrees to come to Europe in 2011 not only in October to Austria and Serbia for those who still do not know him, but also to hold higher level seminars for more advanced members.
We think the easiest thing is to organize seminars in the same period (end of august – beginning of september). Those who want to organize should tell us as soon as possible, by the end of April, so that we can plan the details during the month of May.
Moreover, knowing that Sensei will also come in October, you can also propose other stages at this time to share the costs. We also propose that in these seminars, we ask all participants to make a donation for Japan that we will send to Oomoto.
In the meantime, let us continue to do as Sensei asked us, we practice Waraku every day thinking of our Japanese friends.
However, if someone wants to go to Japan this summer, he/she may inquire by Nicola (Technical Manager for Europe), to know if he/she has the required knowledge of Waraku and to know how to organize his/her stay in Oomoto (with their consent).

Waraku Keiko & Warraku Festival with Hiramasa Maeda Sensei from October 29th to Nobember 1st 2010

At the suggestion of master Maeda Hiramasa a meeting will be held in Rome between end of October and early November to which anyone who practices Waraku in Japan and Europe may take part, so as to live together both Waraku and leisure in order to improve mutual understanding and friendship.
On October 29th and 30th we will practice Keiko two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening, and in the afternoon we will make a tourist coach tour in Rome.
On October 31th we will again practice Keiko and we will also hold a “Waraku Festival”, to which everyone is invited to contribute with an example of his/her culture.
On November 1st we will take part in an advanced Waraku course of three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon.
